Description Woodbury Health Care Center, a Lifespark Skilled Nursing Community, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Director of Nursing, RN to join our growing team. Woodbury Health Care Center is home to seniors requiring TCU (Transitional Care Unit) Care and Long-Term Care. We are in Woodbury, right next door to Woodbury High School. We have been helping seniors Age Magnificently since 1979 and are part of Senior Care Communities, a local non-profit supporting seniors. In this position, you will be responsible for responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to residents and is responsible for daily clinical operations. Duties include: Oversee the nursing staff for the provision of quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards. Schedule and/or perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care. Maintain administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the proper charting and documentation of care, medications, and treatments. Assist with hiring nursing staff, oversee the provision of orientation and training, and retain qualified staff to carry out nursing and assisted living programs and services. Assist with developing and implementing the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of the resident population. Collaborate with the Executive Director to build relationships with internal and external prospects, customers, families, and care providers. Evaluate current and potential residents to determine and maintain facilitys ability to provide the appropriate level of care. Manage clinical aspects of state or federal government survey processes. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse. A minimum of two years management or supervisory experience in long-term or acute care is preferred. Restorative or geriatric nursing experience is preferred. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents families, and employees. Must possess advanced computer skills.
