24 Beds – Mixture of Med/Surg and Intermediate Care
Sepsis
Overdoses/Withdrawals
Spine surgeries
Telemetry
Continuous IV infusions of anti-dysrhythmic and vasoactive drugs
Pneumonia
Altered mental status (ams)
This position works 64 hours in a 2 week pay period on the evening shift, 8 hour shifts, no weekends . This position is benefit eligible.

In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit. Other job responsibilities include:
Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
Setting up and maintaining patient rooms
Ordering and stocking of supplies
Answering telephone calls as able
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:
Required
License/Certification/Registration
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program
AND ONE or more of the following:
Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program.
OR
Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
OR
Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
OR
Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position
