Bongards Premium Cheese is a vertically integrated Coop and leader of natural, processed, and whey products in the Foodservice, Retail, C-store, and Manufacturing segment. We operate several food processing facilities in the US. Our customers in Foodservice are comprised of large national restaurant chain operators, regional chains, K12, and both national and regional foodservice distributors. Our Retail and C-store customers are comprised of primarily large national and regional retailers and warehouse clubs. Our manufacturing customers are comprised of large branded manufacturers of retail and foodservice products. The customers from these channels are attracted to working with Bongards Premium Cheese because of our demonstrated leadership in delivering innovative products, integrity, operational excellence, food safety, and risk management. Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced operations professional to serve as a Production Supervisor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Overall responsible for plant operations on second shift to ensure that all production, safety and quality goals are met. Ensure the highest standards of quality, product safety and employee safety are maintained at all times in the facility. Attend production, safety and quality meetings as required to meet overall business goals. Partner with Human Resources on talent management, performance reviews and talent acquisition. Maintain the facility in an audit ready state for customers or regulatory agencies. Required Qualifications Must have at least 5 years of food manufacturing experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity and must possess general knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of employees and management. Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change. Strong project management skills. Professional presentation skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in Food Processing Industry. Bachelors Degree in Business or Operations Management or related work experience Working Conditions: Hours will typically be 5 AM to 5 PM. Typical shift will be on a rotation working 7 days every two weeks, but can change due to production needs. Willing to work every other weekend. Office in a food manufacturing environment, some office setting. Extended periods of sitting, standing and typing on a computer is required. Light lifting may be required, up to 50 pounds.
