Job Title: Chemical Operations Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will mix and monitor a variety of chemicals, record information such as ingredients, weights, temperatures, and batch status, and load/unload tank trucks and fill containers of all sizes. You will also transfer fluids and products through hoses from tankers, operate a sit-down forklift, gather materials, utilize an internal system to document work, offload rail cars to storage tankers, and weigh raw materials. Cleaning out totes, tankers, and printing batch tickets will also be part of your responsibilities. This position requires comfort with working on a mezzanine, climbing ladders to dump product, and working outdoors dealing with railcars and tankers.
Hard Skills

Computer knowledge (MS Office)
Forklift experience (sit-down propane)

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Mc Cook, Illinois.
Work Environment
Need to wear proper PPE. Must have your own steel-toed boots; uniforms and gloves are provided. You will work outside unloading railcars. The facility is older and tends to be dirty with chemicals. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors, transferring fluids and products, and working on tankers/storage outdoors. Openings are available on both day and night shifts (Monday-Thursday, 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am), with a schedule rotating every 2 months. Candidates need to be comfortable with both day and night shifts and overtime.
