This organization is responsible for identifying and delivering technology strategies and solutions that advance consumer and retail priorities for Hallmark Gold Crown & mass channel retail, Hallmark Digital, and Supply Chain. We are a fast paced, agile team with a great team culture! We play a key role in managing an effective relationship between IT and our Global business partners, as well as helping advance the development and implementation of a multi-year technology roadmap.

WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOULL CONTRIBUTE

Hallmarks Information Technology team is seeking an experienced technical product owner to support our warehouse automation technology platforms including warehouse execution software, robotic picking technology, voice pick technology and warehouse print solutions. In this role, you will be a critical decision-maker responsible for translating business priorities into product requirements and best practice supply chain solutions. You will lead the work to deliver new capabilities and optimize our supply chain process, serving as the warehouse automation subject matter expert working collaboratively with external technology partners and internal agile teams to deliver best-in-class solutions within a variety of technology platforms. The role of a Technical Product Owner exists to bridge the gap between technology and Hallmark’s business objectives. They serve as a crucial link, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring alignment between development teams and stakeholders. By understanding both the business needs and technical possibilities, they streamline communication, prioritize tasks, and guide the development process, ultimately ensuring that the delivered product aligns with Hallmarks goals and meets customer needs effectively.

Major responsibilities include:

Creating and communicating a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the business goals and customer needs. This involves understanding market trends, customer feedback, and business objectives to define the direction for the product.

Work closely with distribution centers and business partners to identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new processes.

Demonstrate ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, build business cases, and measure product performance.

Managing and prioritizing the product backlog effectively. This includes continuously refining and prioritizing user stories, features, and tasks based on customer feedback, business value, and development team capacity.

Actively engaging with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and development teams, to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on priorities, and lead and execute testing phases for implementations.

Overseeing the iterative development process, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure that the delivered increments meet quality standards, are aligned with expectations, and provide value to end-users.

Partner with other product teams to define/validate end-to-end technology integrations.

Serve as a subject-matter-expert in warehouse systems for operational guidance and best practices.

Manage software vendors to deliver against service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver new capabilities in line with business expectations.

Coordinate and provide frontline support for new site implementations, major rollouts, etc. to ensure smooth and efficient adoption and stabilization.

Serve as the point of contact for advanced escalation of issues, including the liaison into the vendor for complex matters or root cause determination and problem solving for matters beyond typical RUN matters which may lead to a change in standards.

Candidates must have strong communication and facilitation skills, with a proven record of leading complex projects with multiple business partners, business acumen and the ability to present plans and opportunities with individuals at higher levels in the organization. They must exhibit corporate & interpersonal savvy and confidence leading technical projects under tight budgets and timelines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years’ professional work experience in a product management, software development, or related technical role is crucial

Prior experience in a similar capacity helps in understanding the complexities of product development and management

understanding of software development processes, coding languages, databases, and other technical aspects relevant to the software development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in product management, support services and/or warehouse control systems with understanding of how product moves through a Distribution Center and how users interact with the technology

Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Execution Systems, Auto-pick technology, Lucas Voice Pick technology and Ricoh print technology highly desirable

2 years of experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and tools (ADO, Jira, Trello, etc.) to manage projects effectively

Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM), or other recognized certifications in product management or Agile methodologies

Deep understanding of data relationships to enable System-to-System performance and accuracy

Familiarity with application testing, debugging and analysis of issues

Strong technical acumen and familiarity with software development processes, programming languages, data analytics, or other technical domains relevant to the product are highly desirable

Proven background in collaboration and creative problem solving to deliver upon business objectives

Exceptional leadership abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to influence and align stakeholders are crucial for success.

The ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration across departments is highly preferred

Ability to manage competing priorities and a high volume of initiatives at one time

Proactively prioritize the work and manage expectations

Curious and self-starter

Effective communication, leadership abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
