Description:

Expected to do following: disassembly, clean, requalification, rework and assembly operations on Traction Motor Combo components utilizing manual and automated equipment in accordance with quality procedures. Inspect work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance to quality or engineering requirements. Responsible to perform work in a safe manor in support of lean manufacturing principals such as but not limited to 5s or single piece flow to required takt time. In some cases, you may have to perform special process such as welding or non-destructive testing which will require special process training or certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

This is going to be a very heavy, aseembly position. They will be taking Train axels and wheels, dissasembling them, figuring out where the problems are, sending them to whatever lines it needs, and remanufacturing them. They will be looking for those with true assembly, mechanic type experience. Will not be welding. They will be using the crane assist within first 30 days because its a big part of the job. Having the overhead crane experience is a bonus, but not a must have. They will be certified on it anyways.
