Direct Service Professional (DSP)

[Direct Support Professional Job description
[Duties: – Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges – Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration – Implement behavior management strategies and support individuals in developing appropriate social skills – Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals by following established protocols and procedures – Document and report any incidents or changes in behavior to the appropriate supervisor – Promote and uphold resident rights and advocate for individuals needs and preferences
[Experience: – Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is preferred – Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities is a plus – Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies is beneficial – First aid and CPR certification is desirable
