Bookkeeping Specialist ACH – Corporate Office

Position Title:
Bookkeeping Specialist

Reports To:
Director of Accounting
Basic Function:
Process Electronic Funds

Responsibilities:
Process daily ACH debits, credits and exceptions according to regulations.
Release and add ACH originations daily.
Process various incoming and outgoing files daily.
Maintain monthly reports for ACH activity.
Process payroll allocations, Stop Payments on ACH items and Unauthorized transactions.
Process various manual payrolls.
Resolve errors affecting member accounts as encountered or as reported by the member or othercredit union employees regarding ACH.
Responds to member telephone inquiries regarding ACH transaction.
Research, organize, and structure new programs within the ACH area.
Cross train on various duties in the department.
Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Prior experience in a financial institution or six to twelve months accounting experience preferred. College-level accounting courses preferred.
Proficiently operate RRCU personal computer and standard office equipment.
Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
