Job Description
Service and repair company for pumps and rotating equipment is hiring an experienced Machine Shop Quality Inspector. You must be able to read drawings and specifications for final inspection of all parts. You will be familiar with measuring products with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other tools. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and approving/rejecting incoming parts, assemblies, and materials by confirming specifications to our standards. You will quarantine unacceptable parts and inform the concerned department. Additionally, you will perform in-process inspections of all manufactured production parts by confirming sizes to drawings/specifications.

4 years machine Quality Inspector experience
Proficiency in measuring with micrometers

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Port Arthur, Texas.
Work Environment
The location is the main site, a medium-sized facility with 40 total shop personnel. It is a new, climate-controlled shop with a very high standard of housekeeping. The majority of employees have long tenure with the company. It is an aging workforce where everyone is willing to help and share knowledge if you are willing to ask and learn. Safety gear required includes steel toes, jeans, work shirt, and safety glasses. The work schedule is day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Overtime is not guaranteed but could happen as needed, including working a little later or on a Saturday.
