Safety Facilitator

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform a variety of routine and non-routine clerical and administrative tasks in support the safety department. Project a professional image and maintain the necessary resources to facilitate a cohesive and productive work environment.

What you’ll do:

1. Create and modify documents using MS Word and Excel. Create presentations using PowerPoint.

2. Enter data into databases.

3. Perform general clerical duties, including copying, faxing, sorting, binding, supplies inventory, and miscellaneous errands.

4. Set-up and maintain filing systems (electronic and hard copy).

5. Maintain manager calendar(s).

6. Set up and coordinate meetings (conference room and teleconferencing).

7. Take meeting minutes and transcribe dictation tapes.

8. Act as a liaison from office to field and other company departments (if applicable).

9. Perform research via internet.

10. Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and health culture.

11. Prepare, submit, file, and maintain all essential safety paperwork accurately and thoroughly.

12. Assist with tracking various safety-related projects from beginning to end and monitor their success.

13. Assist with internal logistics for the team to include planning Safety Summits, coordinating training events, ordering equipment and supplies, and acting as an information resource for various projects.

14. Assist in the tracking of all department “Live-It” statistics.

15. Attend Accident Investigation and Analysis meetings as directed and participate in the mitigation planning efforts.

16. Perform additional assignments as requested.

What you’ll need to be successful:

· Thorough understanding of all applicable federal, state, local and company regulations

· Preferred certifications: OSHA 510 or 511, First Aid/CPR

· Specialist in Safety & Health certificate (SSH) highly desirable

· Strong computer skills and ability to work effectively in MS Office

· Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and possess strong organizational and administrative skills

· Employment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any jobsite or from working with any of Brandt’s partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc.

What you bring to the table:

· High school degree or equivalent with 1-2 years of business school/clerical training preferred

· At least 2 years’ experience in construction safety.
