CNC Programmer Intermediate

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Create new NC programs using Siemens NX CAM software
Edit/modify existing NC programs
Create simple 3D solid Process Models using NX CAD
Design work holding/fixturing, as needed, with assistance from
Manufacturing Engineering
Identify and apply appropriate tooling based on material types, equipment
considerations, cutting conditions, etc.
Maintain tooling database.

Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of CNC programming.
Ability to program both mills and lathes.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of machine code (G & M code)
Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T
Ability to learn and apply CAD/CAM software for programming.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to communicate with machinists to resolve program issues
Superior time management skills

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of programming experience in a metal cutting/machining
environment
Minimum 1 year of experience with CAD/CAM software, Siemens NX preferred
but not required
Associates or Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or other
technical discipline preferred; suitable experience will be considered in
lieu of educational preferences

Physical requirements
This position is an office/factory hybrid role.
Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted.
Indoor office & factory environment. Sitting, standing, walking,
bending, kneeling, and lifting are common.

Compensation DetailsAnnual Salary: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00
