Promoting and advancing the reproductive health of pediatric and adolescent patients is at the core of our mission in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG). Our team of providers are nationally recognized experts in treating pediatric and adolescent pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding and bleeding disorders, and congenital anomalies of the female reproductive tract. We provide gynecological and reproductive healthcare to a wide spectrum of patients, specializing in complex cases and offering compassionate care to young people and their families. To support our mission of advancing the health of these patients, we have a growing research program that spans clinical and social research and education. We are seeking to fill the role of Associate Director (AD) of Research in PAG. This position will be linked to a Senior Instructor Faculty Appointment—eligible for tenure track advancement—within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our team is highly collaborative and supportive of new and junior faculty. The AD can expect robust mentorship, opportunities for leadership within and outside of the division, and resources to support their success. We are a team-first group and value clear, responsive communication. This role would be an excellent fit for an energetic, highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is gifted at making sound judgements across a wide variety of situations. We are not necessarily seeking an expert in PAG (though that would be a benefit) but rather an individual who is skilled in critical, integrative thinking and who enjoys evaluating whether or not an idea is sound or if it needs further adjustments. The AD will need to be a highly motivated colleague who can work independently without significant oversite or direction. They must be skilled in managing ‘up and ‘down and working with a variety of interdisciplinary partners. A background or prior experience in clinical research design, conduct, and quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis or biostatistics is preferred. This position requires for clinical research and pediatric and adolescent gynecologic care. The ideal candidate will be gifted and derive energy from galvanizing people and executing projects with tenacity. We seek a candidate who loves to nurture others excitement about research projects and who can build energy and momentum around a project or idea. Interested in the position but arent sure you qualify or would be a good fit? Please ask! Excellent candidates, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, can talk themselves out of a position when they would be a great fit and an asset to the team. Please email Carly Johnson; carly.e.johnson@cuanschutz.edu (https://apptrkr.com/getredirect.php?id=5706462&targetURL=carly.e.johnson@cuanschutz.edu) to discuss. The AD will play a significant leadership role in our program. The AD will work closely with Research Director Dr. Steve Scott, MD to develop, execute, and manage the programs strategic vision for research and research education. The AD will be primarily responsible for implementing our strategic plan, guiding our program, leading research efforts, providing high-level project management, and directing our fellows research education program. The AD will also support our extramurally funded research projects and will advance our research mission through the development, editing, and submission of grant proposals (including to advance their own research agenda).
