Nursing Instructor/Lab Coordinator – Richfield

## Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our nursing program and be the Nursing Lab Coordinator located in Richfield. The position is tenured track. This program is taught between both the Ephraim and Richfield campus through IVC. Some travel between campuses will be required.
## Qualifications
1. Have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Utah
2. Must hold a Masters Degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution or currently enrolled in a MSN program. (Snow College verifies degree attainment at time of offer)
3. Must have five years full time, recent experience in RN nursing or nursing instructing
4. Position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescue CPR
5. Must pass fingerprint and background check
6. Must pass required drug test
7. Must have excellent people skills, be able to work as a team member, and be skilled at problem solving
8. Must have basic general computer literacy skills
Salary: Contingent to funding, salary is based on a 9-month teaching contract according to qualifications, background and experience. This is an exempt position with a complete benefits package.
Shift Details: Monday — Friday, August — May, 35 hrs. /week
## Major Responsibilities/Duties
1. Work to schedule and arrange nursing labs for the program.
2. Maintain open lab hours (Appropriate for each semester and upon agreement with Nursing Instructors
3. Coordinate labs across the total program ensuring each lab site has adequate standardization of equipment to coincide with the curriculum.
4. Be responsible for purchasing/ordering all supplies for lab.
5. Oversee the use of instructional media/equipment and maintain it in working order.
6. Provide meaningful learning experiences for nursing students through theoretical instruction and/or clinical practice.
7. Act as a mentor, teacher, consultant and resource in critical thinking, prioritizing, and delegating as an RN for Snow College registered nursing students
8. Supervise, teach, test and grade students.
9. Partner with other nursing instructors to participate in the development or review of ACEN accreditation standards, criteria, policies and procedures for the nursing program
10. Share professional development curriculum obtained at conference to faculty
11. Participate in performance improvement for the nursing program and class performance
12. Contribute to the Nursing department with proposals, ideas, reviews and creation of educational material for nursing classes
13. Assist with simulation training and RN skills pass offs
14. Articulate with other colleges/schools as applicable
15. Perform such other tasks and assume such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
