Position Overview
Cigna is seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead Generative AI strategy within our Digital, Analytics, and AI team. This pivotal role will shape the future of AI-driven initiatives across our organization, translating innovative technologies into tangible business value. As a senior director, youll be at the forefront of Cignas AI revolution, orchestrating the scaling of AI-driven initiatives and evolving our operating model for developing and deploying Generative AI applications. Key Responsibilities
– Build and lead high-performing teams dedicated to Generative AI product development, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
– Create foundational, reusable, and extensible GenAI capabilities that can be leveraged by other GenAI product teams across the enterprise, ensuring scalability and adaptability
– Drive the development of innovative GenAI solutions that enhance productivity and support a diverse range of internal teams and use cases
– Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Platform Engineering teams to assess emerging GenAI technologies and make informed decisions regarding their integration into existing systems.
– Collaborate with GenAI engineers and product designers to drive cohesive product development and implementation
– Drive the development of AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable business impact, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency across the organization
– Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in Generative AI, ensuring Cigna remains at the forefront of technology and innovation
Qualifications
– Proven track record of building and scaling teams in fast-paced, innovative environments
– Extensive experience in software product leadership, with a focus on AI or machine learning technologies
– Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and enhance productivity through technology solutions
– Strong understanding of Generative AI technologies and their potential applications in healthcare and business operations
– Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
– Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
– 15 years of relevant experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on emerging technologies and AI

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 178,100 – 296,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
