The Independent Testing & Validation team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.
The Enterprise Functions Testing & Validation Team is seeking a Data Analytics – Lead Independent Testing Officer within the Regulatory Reporting Incremental Compliance Team to support the acquisition, analysis, and testing of data reported in regulatory and risk reports.
In this role, you will:
Navigate large, complex technology environments to understand the flow of data from origination through to regulatory and risk reports.
Lead the acquisition of data relevant to regulatory and risk reports through identification of systems facilitating reporting.
Collaborate with business partners to obtain system access.
Extract data using SAS, SQL, or similar methods.
Validating and formatting the data for analysis.
Document procedures performed to acquire the data.
Partner with team members to share information on the data received and collaborate on design strategies to analyze the data including creation of data subsets or calculated fields.
Partner with business partners to understand the data environment and related initiatives to develop appropriate and complementary data validation procedures.
Perform advanced data analytics of regulatory and risk reporting data and assessing quality of relevant data and information reported.
Independently research issues relating to data integrity driving to root cause, including assessing impact to regulatory and risk reports, by applying a mix of data knowledge and business knowledge.
Develop an understanding of reporting requirements for relevant regulatory and risk reports.
Lead and support efforts to effectively identify risks to report production processes through testing.
Review or document test results and any issues identified while also providing recommendations to management.
Provide credible challenge to process owners as needed, acting as a change agent for continual improvement of the control environment.
Lead complex initiatives executing moderate to high risk or complex review activities and engagements in a matrixed environment.
Communicate emerging risks with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale planning for Independent Testing.
Develop and design methodologies and standards for review activities across the enterprise in alignment with the risk management framework.
Review and research complex development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities companywide in alignment with the risk management framework.
Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks and controls.
Make decisions in complex situations requiring solid understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control environment that influence and lead enterprise testing to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
Collaborate and consult with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to resolve risk related topics.
Lead project teams and mentor individuals.
Required Qualifications
5 years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
4 years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools.
Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data.
Strong ability to retrieve data from various information systems.
Experience in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets.
Experience in compliance, risk, audit or testing.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
Strong analytical skills including analysis of financial metrics.
Experience determining the root cause of identified issues.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques.
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner.
Experience using SQL within SAS, and execute against other databases such as Oracle, Teradata and SQL Server.
Ability to interpret technical documents and system flows to translate into reporting requirements.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 – $197,500.00
