Organizational Change Management Specialist (Remote)

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist. This position will be fully remote.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of an OCM Specialist is to develop and implement a tailored change management framework supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Other responsibilities include creating strategic communications and leading stakeholder engagement activities that maximize end user adoption. The OCM Specialist will also support and coach team members and project leadership when executing OCM activities.

Define and roll out a tailored OCM framework methodology and lead OCM activities

Apply OCM best practices, processes, and tools to develop a strategy to support end user adoption

Identify and understand the customer’s organizational structure, culture, approval processes, and other business constraints that may impact planned OCM activities

Develop an OCM/Communications Plan in alignment with the overall program’s strategic plan

Analyze current state processes, perceptions, and operational challenges

Obtain and define executive sponsorship commitment from customer leadership

Evaluate and measure OCM implementation progress using industry standard tools such as ADKAR assessments

Develop OCM strategic communications and OCM marketing materials that leverage multiple channels for distribution

Establish end user feedback loops and coordinate with team members to report trends and items for consideration

Create actionable OCM deliverables which could include key written messages, briefings, roadmaps, executive summaries, and other required artifacts

Possess strong analytical and communication skills required to proactively research information and develop strategies to navigate complex dynamics

Lead OCM presentations given to all levels of personnel, including executives

Support and engage senior leaders within the customer agency

Coordinate OCM efforts and collaborate with Team Leads and team members

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with 10 years (or commensurate experience)

Experience developing and implementing an OCM framework or strategy

Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, trends, and tools

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Problem solving, decision making, and root cause identification skills

Ability to operate independently without much guidance and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Ability to understand end user behavior and responses

Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Visio

Desired Skills and Experience:

Change management certification (i.e., Prosci)

Experience editing PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro

Ability to produce Section 508 compliant communication materials

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle

Experience supporting VA or other federal government customers

Familiarity with Jira and SharePoint

Clearance Required : Ability to obtain/maintain a public trust clearance (Tier 4 high risk)

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $100,000.00 – USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
