Patient Service Center Associate

Job Description:
Plays a vital role, liaison between various callers/patients and clinics. Serves as first point of contact for patients. Greets patients, obtains demographic information, verifies insurance eligibility, and conveys messages. Also serves as final contact for patients ensuring all needs have been met.
Detail-oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service, good verbal and written skills.
Associate will work under standard processes in documenting patient needs within electronic health record in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.
Contributes to and supports the enterprise quality initiatives by planning, communicating, and encouraging team and individual contributions toward the quality improvement efforts.
Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.
Scheduling mutually acceptable appointment times utilizing provider templates and the scheduling guidelines criteria system.
Convey telephone messages electronically. (EEHR tasking).
Escalate potential emergency situations to the appropriate level (Senior Associate).
Develop and maintain effective communication with all departments and services including but not limited to: clinic providers, clinic MAs, clinic PSRs, clinic managers, pharmacy support team, and health plan brokers.
Maintains confidentially per HIPPA guidelines and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in a customer service.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of call center telephone and technology.
Microsoft Office applications knowledge.
Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software are required as, is experience with other types of standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a medical office environment preferred, or an equivalent amount of experience in a high-volume call center in another industry.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$17.34 – $22.54
