ESG Project Manager

Summary:
Meta’s Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) team oversees responsible business strategy, governance, cross-functional engagement and reporting at Meta. The ESG Project Manager will be responsible for project management and cross-functional coordination across the global ESG program. This is a strategic role supporting program leadership and guiding project teams and internal SMEs to meet the objectives of projects that are complex in scope. Responsibilities will include a mix of: strategic advice and coordination, record keeping and reporting, communication and alignment, and administrative support. This role reports to the Head of ESG.

ESG Project Manager Responsibilities:
1. Develop and monitor execution of ESG project plans, timelines, and budgets.
2. Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to enable and track organizational alignment with ESG objectives, and drive continuous progress toward meeting ESG milestones and goals.
3. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements, build tools, and facilitate activities that support delivery of ESG program objectives.
4. Create dashboards, reports and presentations to communicate project progress and recommendations to various stakeholders and leadership.
5. Proactively identify potential project risks and roadblocks, deploy mitigation strategies, and work with ESG leadership to resolve issues in a timely manner.
6. Support team with sourcing needs, including preparation of RFPs, contracts and change orders.

7. 8 years of relevant project management experience.
8. Demonstrated interest in and understanding of trends and best practices in ESG, sustainability and responsible business practices, including reporting landscape.
9. Experience in multitasking and prioritizing tasks based on capacity, due dates and critical paths.
10. Experience in organizing, directing and problem-solving with multiple, cross functional teams.
11. Project reporting skills with focus on interdepartmental communications.
12. Proven interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
13. Experience in embracing ambiguity and being nimble given shifting priorities.

14. Advanced degree in related discipline.
15. 3 years of direct project management experience in ESG, sustainability and/or responsible business.
16. Familiarity with project management tools.
Public Compensation:
$116,000/year to $166,000/year bonus equity benefits
