POSITION TITLE: TERRITORIAL CORPORATE AND DONOR ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT
PAY RANGE: $80,000 – $90,000

SCOPE OF POSITION: As The Salvation Army’s USA Western Territory deepens engagement with individual and corporate donors, we are seeking a Territorial Corporate and Donor Engagement Coordinator to support overall communications and development efforts, and to enhance donor communications and stewardship. Under the leadership of the Territorial Director of Corporate Engagement, this role collaborates with and assists senior subject leads in creating and updating resources for fundraisers and communicators in the field, assisting with stewardship of national, territorial and regional partners, and facilitating opportunities for teams to come together for trainings and workshops. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, be highly organized, and have strong project management abilities.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years of experience working in nonprofit fundraising, partnership development communications, graphic design and/or marketing
An understanding of nonprofit fundraising and communications
Knowledge of design programs with proven experience in creating marketing materials, including presentation decks and informational flyers, with a strong eye for detail and effective communication
Project management experience is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and follow-up for successful closure of gifts and volunteer commitment.
Strong and effective interpersonal and persuasive skills, modeling effective relationship management and demonstrating emotional intelligence / situational awareness.
Ability to assess a situation and come up with effective solutions. Takes a solutions-based approach to projects/work.
Excellent document creation, proposal and presentation development skills.
Strong organizational skills, follow-through and attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage many projects at one time. Project management experience is a plus.
Ability to apply knowledge of Army policies and procedures and ability to communicate and follow accurate interpretation of the same.
Ability to travel if necessary to carry out responsibilities and assignments.
Ability to be a driven self-starter; to work independently on project management, while working collaboratively and cooperatively under the supervision of the Territorial Director of Corporate Engagement and department leadership.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple competing priorities.
Team player, engaging effectively and respectfully with other staff for accomplishment of organizational and department goals.
SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
Experience with PC’s and networking.
Experience with donor data management software.
Experience with graphic design or design template software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL
Sharing resources with the front-line fundraisers on a regular cadence via email including external best practices, industry news, and suggested LinkedIn post language.
Assist with task forces, trainings, conferences, committees and ad-hoc groups as needed. Create and deploy a quarterly corporate partner newsletter with input from the Territorial Director of Corporate Engagement.
Assist in creating resources and assets that can be leveraged by the divisions to gain corporate support for various campaigns/initiatives.
Assist in the creation of training resources for front-line fundraisers including but not limited to handbooks, PowerPoints, and informational flyers and documents.
Maintain and update Community Relations and Development resource pages on the landing.
Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Corporate Engagement Director, the Territorial Director of Communications and Brand Management, and Territorial Director of Impact Investment.
Other related duties as assigned by the Territorial Corporate Engagement Director, the Territorial Director of Communications and Brand Management, and Territorial Director of Impact Investment.
DATA COLLECTION & FIELD COMMUNICATION
Work with the field to collect stewardship data and create stewardship reports for corporate partnership activations managed out of Territorial Headquarters (THQ) and National Headquarters (NHQ).
Communicate with the field about national partnership opportunities out of NHQ.
Receive and route corporate inquiry forms from THQ Corporate website.
DISASTER
Create regular donor communications during and after a disaster to send to territorial partners as well as to provide to the divisional fundraisers.
Serve as stewardship officer in the field during large-scale disasters in the Western Territory as requested/needed.
EMPLOYEE GIVING & MATCHING GIFTS
Reach out to HR teams at corporations about employee giving campaigns and matching gifts and secure opportunities to speak at employee giving meetings, therefore increasing corporate giving and matching gifts income to the territory.
Create materials to enhance these partnerships.
Work with data team to streamline internal processes related to these gifts.
Track employee giving via Portfolio donor software.
PROSPECT RESEARCH
Research prospects in partnership with the Territorial Prospect Research Manager for different funding opportunities as directed by the Territorial Director of Corporate Engagement.
Provide prospect research notes to territorial leadership ahead of corporate meetings.
DATA AND REPORTS
Collect reports from Divisions monthly and provide an aggregate report to Territorial Executive Director of Development and Territorial Director of Corporate Engagement, Territorial Director of Impact Investment, and Territorial Director of Communications and Brand management monthly.
Assist with donor data entry related to communications and stewardship of donors as needed.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of reports showing front-line fundraiser achievement as needed.
CHRISTMAS
Assist with communicating, coordinating and facilitating national, territorial and regional corporate partnerships, initiatives and activations from start to finish, including outcomes reporting / stewardship.
Serve as a liaison to the field for any help they may need related to Christmas pitch and activation materials for partners.
Provide standardized stewardship materials to the field.
