Systems Technician

Pay Range: $25.28 – $33.73
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Education and Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 3 years experience in IT related field
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
Strong PC skills in a Windows environment.
Familiarity with a variety of I.T. concepts, practices and procedures.
Basic project management skills and ability to multi-task.
Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:
May be required to work nights and/or weekends. Valid Drivers License. Required to possess or to obtain A certification within 12 months of employment.
Tasks Performed:
35% Documents, maintains, upgrades, and replaces hardware and software systems. Includes project initiatives and production support.
25% Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs more complex computer systems, hardware and peripherals.
20% Analyzes and trends utilization metrics of various systems.
10% Provide Business Recovery support relating to IT initiatives.
10% Other administrative duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers
Stationary 75% of time or greater
Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs
