If you have an interest in all aspects of Human Resources and the employee life cycle, this job may be perfect for you! The essential functions of this position include:
New Employee Onboarding: collaborate with hiring managers through the hiring process, conduct background checks and employment verifications and help new employees get oriented to the company.
Benefits Administration: answer questions about employee benefit and wellness programs, health insurance and retirement plans; provide information and support to employees regarding benefits options and enrollment.
Leaves of Absence and Accommodations: administer federal and state-mandated leave programs (ST DBL, FMLA, PFL, ADA), provide guidance to employees and managers through the application and approval process.
Performance Management: monitor and track progress through the annual cycle, support managers through the evaluation process.
Workers Compensation and Safety: collect incident reports and track; maintain and update documentation and status of claims; and submissions to the carrier.
Culture Building: promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Compliance: ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations; maintain updated employee records; assist in preparation of HR reports.

What makes you a great candidate?

Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field required.
Minimum three years’ experience in Human Resources required.
HR Certification, such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, is a plus!
Service-oriented approach to all interactions
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong track record of integrity and professionalism
Ability to collaborate as part of a cohesive team

Location:
Our Employee Services team is based from our corporate office, located at 55 Dodge Road in Getzville, NY, and may sometimes travel locally during the work week to the clinical sites we support.
Hours:
This is a full-time position with a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. This position has a salary range of $50,000 – $57,000. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
Physical demands associated with this position include:
Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
