CTG is seeking to fill a Project Coordinator opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 6 months

Overview:

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating moderately complex to complex projects from proposal through post-implementation. This role involves engaging with business lines to identify application requirements, ensuring the timely completion of project milestones, and leading testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and execute test cases for assigned projects.

Conduct research and analysis of moderately complex data to ensure the functional design is accurate.

Mentor less experienced staff in application training, research analysis, and project methodology.

Serve as the functional lead on moderately complex projects and facilitate project team meetings.

Collaborate with business clients to discuss application changes related to enterprise-wide initiatives, compliance, or system maintenance.

Participate in design discussions and document functional specifications.

Provide estimates for project timelines and phases, coordinating efforts for moderately complex to complex projects.

Consult as a subject matter expert on application impacts from enterprise-wide initiatives.

Work with vendors to understand project functionality and offer implementation insights.

Act as Test Coordinator for large project initiatives involving multiple applications.

Document data mapping for system integrations and assess how applications may need to adapt to changes.

Prepare test plans and scripts in collaboration with other testing teams, managing execution of test cases.

Ensure adherence to project scope, regulatory requirements, and Corporate Technology standards.

Resolve issues arising from testing or implementation, documenting and reporting as necessary.

Manage post-implementation processes, gathering feedback and conducting debriefs.

Identify and escalate risk-related issues in accordance with company standards.

Promote a diverse work environment that aligns with the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain internal control standards and address audit points promptly.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator will manage the lifecycle of projects, ensuring they align with business requirements and corporate standards, while also supporting the technology needs of internal and external clients.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will mentor junior staff and coordinate activities among project team members.

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of combined education and/or operational/business analytics experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software applications.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree.

Subject matter expertise in business applications.

Experience managing multiple moderately complex to complex projects.

Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.

Ability to present effectively to various management levels.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
