Job Description
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for coordinating all tax-related matters within the company, serving as the primary liaison to the external tax service provider, while supporting compliance with tax laws and regulations. The Senior Tax Manager will play a critical role in ensuring appropriate tax strategies are undertaken to minimize unnecessary tax liabilities in alignment with other BT entities around the globe.
Principal Responsibilities:
Complete all information requests to external service provider.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting and payment of tax liabilities.
Oversee all tax returns prepared by external service provider.
Support in the preparation and validation of all Transfer Pricing documentation and/or coordination with an external consultant.
Respond to and coordinate all tax audits at the federal, state and local levels.
Calculate tax provision and provide all journal entries for tax accounts and financial statement information including footnotes.
Establish corporate and local tax policies and processes.
Identify and address tax risks for the company and establish a tax risk management process for the company.
Advise the business in analyzing business models from a tax perspective.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies for the company.
Conduct and document tax research on various tax issues.
Conduct and coordinate M&A activities for the company from a tax perspective (including coordination of tax due diligence and tax planning).
Collaborate with other departments such as HR, Legal, Accounting and Treasury to insure that tax issues and risks are incorporated into the way the company does business.
Support the implementation of tax functionalities for IT Systems & Software.
Support with creation of supporting documents for tax declarations.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or advanced degree in Taxation preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in tax, with a focus on corporate tax.
international tax experience preferred.
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
Experience in managing tax audits and working with external service providers and consultants.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel, less than 10% travel required.
Additional Information
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 to $160,000.
