Eagles Nest Director

To be responsible for over-seeing the day-to-day operations of the Eagles Nest programming. To develop, coordinate and ensure quality implementation of all grant program short-and long-term goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be a proven leader who understands the importance of analyzing data to inform thought and decision-making. Perform classroom management to ensure a safe place for youth and staff. (S)he will be a dedicated professional that constantly seeks improved way of approaching the work so that Literacy West NY can better serve our youth, parents and partners.
Job Results and Duties:
Oversees daily programmatic operations to ensure youth receive the highest quality educational and support services in a safe environment.
Promotes quality programming by maintaining student to staff ratios.
Assists in maintaining detailed attendance and all other documentation necessary for reporting.
Assists with program development by recommending and providing ongoing program improvements to ensure a positive program result for all participants.
Maintains a strong culture of accountability of standards, best practices, and outcomes, to recruit, retain, monitor, and support our students, parents, staff, partners, and Literacy West leadership.
Collect, analyze, and use data effectively to manage the program and demonstrate results.
Promotes quality programming by providing curriculum development and coordinating ongoing program improvement.
Prepares reports for partners, funders, leadership and board.
Manages multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Participates in agency-wide functions and project activities.
Demonstrates integrity and acts as a role model for staff, students, children, and families.
Actively serves as a member of the team.
Provides recommendations and feedback to leadership on program changes, improvements, and new development projects.
Ensure SACC compliance and required staff ratios.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors in education, Child Development, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related Human Service field AND direct experience with children and at-risk populations required. Reliable transportation and a valid New York State Drivers License required. Experience with Microsoft computer applications and ability to communicate with the manage electronic mail software program required. OCFS clearance required with fingerprint and background approval under LAWS of New York 2001, CHAPTER 180, and its subsequent amendments.

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
