The Civil Engineering Technology Program in the Department of Civil Engineering Technology is seeking a qualified candidate to teach undergraduate students in our newly established Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program. The successful applicant will focus on core areas such as water resource development, environmental engineering, and transportation engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate students in the newly established Civil Engineering Technology, BS degree program with a focus on water resource development, environmental engineering, and transportation engineering.
  • Deliver courses covering essential topics such as Hydraulics, Civil 3D Graphics, Water/Wastewater Management, Hydrology, Transportation and Highway design
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to the attainment of ETAC/ABET accreditation by participating in accreditation processes and fulfilling accreditation criteria.
  • Maintain relationships with industrial partners to enhance student learning experiences and facilitate internships or employment opportunities.
  • Actively engage in student recruitment efforts to promote enrollment in the program and promote program growth.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in civil engineering technology and teaching methodologies.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Masters degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or other industry-related certifications.
  • Relevant industry experience and network with industry partners.
