Production Associate

Our growing manufacturing plant is seeking dependable, self-motivated production associates to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Associate will be responsible for maintaining the production of our soils and substrates in our patented substrate manufacturing facility in Ambridge, PA. PittMoss is a fast growing company that will have multiple opportunities to move and progress as the company grows.

We are looking for reliable staff to do the following:

Maintain accurate records of production schedule, batches, and shipment due dates.

· Responsible for the production and/or packaging work cycle and completion of all necessary paperwork.

· Plan and prepare shipment of final products according to customer requirements

· Maintain detailed, organized records of batches and inventory stock levels, including raw, packaging and pallets.

· Communicate with upper management regarding order status and deadlines

· Inspect finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

· Promote safety culture through employee engagement

· Ensure machinery maintained for daily functionality.

· Identify and help to document poor quality products and/or production data.

· Responsible for routine equipment maintenance (e. g. inspection, cleaning, lubrication/greasing, change hammers and cutters, etc.).

· Train team members on multiple processes and/or equipment as required.

· Ability to work grow a team

· Attention to detail and safety, a must

· Ability to lift 20-30 pounds repeatedly and stand over an eight (8) hour shift

Forklift license is preferable

Failure to report on time or show for scheduled shifts will result in termination
