System Engineer [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Duties: Support the development of documents in accordance with the specifications for the signaling and safety system. Develop product submittals that meet the contract requirements. Responsible for product submittals, track plans, cable plans, route and aspect charts, and calculations. Generate circuit designs based on standard design parameters including train detection, switch control and indication, signal control and indication, application logic, panel design, interface design, power distribution and layouts. Complete test procedures/data sheets. Support project staff in the factory testing process. Identify and quantify the material for ordering the hardware required for system creation. Archive final records. Support the internal interfaces with the respective partners in departments of development, project execution, test center and with other internal partners. Support the external interfaces with assessors, onshore partners (regional unit, customer, installation companies, etc.) and other external partners. Support the preparation of information, knowledge and experiences within the team and across departments, e.g. for lessons learned, best practice sharing or project databases.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Systems Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Working with Railroad signal hardware systems design; Working on Field surveys; Review signals, ties, switch machines, equipment cases and switch machines for field surveys; Working with Railroad calculation as warning crossing timers, signals arrangement, cable sizes, braking distance and power calculations; Implementation of train detention systems including Axle counter and Track Circuits; Working with computer detailing processes including Auto Cad.

25% domestic travel required.
