Location/Division Specific Information

Flexible Consumables is the largest business unit within Single-Use Technologies Division in the Bioproduction Group with revenues >$600M. This business is focused on offering a variety of bioprocessing consumable products and solutions for high growth applications in support of Biotech, Pharmaceutical and CDMO customers. The Finance Business Partner role is a site based role with a preference for Waltham, MA, Pittsburgh, PA or Logan, UT.

Discover Impactful Work:

Seeking a Senior Finance Director who will provide financial leadership for the Flexible Consumables Business Unit and strategic leadership for Total Flex network (including Hardware Consumables) in partnership with the BEA and Operations leadership teams. This role will lead a direct finance team of 3 members and be the primary business partner for the Flexible VP/GM; and will work closely with BEA BU Finance and Operations Finance team responsible for 6 manufacturing sites located in North America, Europe and Asia. Responsibilities include ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, timely and accurate financial reporting, consistent with USGAAP and local reporting requirements and will partner with Accounting/GBS. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities and develop a strong finance team.

A day in the Life:

• Partner with BU leadership to drive business, industry and competitive analysis to support annual strategy choices. Lead investment modeling for organic and inorganic opportunities.

• Lead all aspects of Annual Business Plan development, monthly forecasting for the global Flex BU and communicate financial risk and opportunities in a timely manner to senior management. This requires collaborating with and influencing functions in the BU, Division and BPG Group. It also includes pro-actively partnering with a matrixed finance organization across the SUD Division, BPG/LSG Groups and GBS.

• Deliver valuable business analysis and models, define and report meaningful financial and business metrics that provide early indicators and lead to timely business decision-making. Drive execution of the AOP by the accountable team members via robust business partner support.

• Partner with Operations Leadership. Flex and BEA BUs to lead a step change improvement in the Total Flex (>$800M) Supply network design and Supply chain processes (e.g., SIOP, Inventory controls, E&O etc.)

• Lead financial analysis on pivotal initiatives for SUD Division and/or BPG Group, in collaboration with Division and/or Group VP Finance. These “high visibility” analysis opportunities will be ad hoc and will require intensity and prioritization skills.

• Build an environment and expectation of strong internal controls and adherence to company policies.

• · Lead team to drive continuous improvement every day. Build and develop strong teams.

Keys to Success:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related field required, CPA, CMA, MBA preferred.

Experience

• 10 years of Finance experience

• Exceptional academic achievements and proven skills in the field of finance

• Experience in leading and running a distributed team, global experience a plus.

• Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization

• Proficient at understanding and proactively presenting the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics.

• Strong skills to influence and deliver results in a matrixed organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners.

• Able to deliver high quality effective presentation and understands and deploys the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex topics.

• Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• 15% domestic/international travel required.
