Job Title:Director – eVinci Licensing and Regulatory Affairs

Direct and lead the multiple licensing groups associated with eVinci Technologies Business Unit. The groups reporting to the eVinci Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Director will be responsible for overall licensing of the Nuclear Test reactor at Idaho National Lab, US and Canadian Licensing groups for the reactor, Licensing of the Manufacturing Facility and Transportation Casks, as well as Implementation of Site Licenses and Construction Licenses for applications in the US and abroad. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building relationships with the various regulators, and working across the organization to develop the strategy for the deployment of projects.
Responsibilities include:
Lead an organization of approximately 3 licensing groups, with over 30-40 direct and matrix reports in multiple countries (United States and Canada) as well as International applications. .
Provide technical and operational oversight to assigned personnel, other BU representatives and design organizations
Develop and grow the organization to support licensing initiatives in support of project implementation and emergent business opportunities.
Ensure training and qualifications of personnel are identified, documented and managed throughout all parts of department leading to a long-term pipeline of talent at all levels.
Oversee licensing performance relative to scope, schedule, funding and quality of work as well as responsiveness to customers requirements.
Direct continual improvement by review of the departments operations and development and introduce alternative approaches, methods, or equipment/tools to effectively accomplish objectives.
Manage and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
In conjunction with other Westinghouse groups, establish strategies for obtaining new business and meeting financial and strategic objectives.
Participate in preparation of proposals, provide technical leadership and initiate actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Consult with other internal functions to provide advance information on potential business opportunities.
Assist engineering, strategy, business development and project management teams in implementing plans and achieving objectives.
Provide direct interface and communication to senior Project personnel including Customer, Partners, and Regulators
10-20% travel
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
BS Engineering
10-15 years of applicable experience
3-5 years of people leadership
Preferred:
MBA
Professional Engineer
Commercial Nuclear Experience
