UPMC is Hiring a Home Care Aide for Allegheny, Beaver and Butler Counties.
UPMC Family Hospice is hiring a full-time Home Care Aide for Pittsburgh and surrounding area. You will work Monday – Friday daylight shifts from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The role of the home health aide is to provide patient centered care to persons with life limiting illness. The home health aide will aid with bathing, dressing and other activities of daily living. The HHA will provide education and demonstrate care to caregivers to support the goal of remaining at home for the end of life. Quality care is patient centered and the HHA goal is to ensure all patients are treated with respect, dignity, and compassion.
Some flexibility to scheduling. One on one care, relationship building with peers and patients. Provide designated care under the direction of the primary service provider in the home to achieve identified goals. Function as an extension of skilled nursing services and/or rehabilitation services in the home. You will have two (2) holiday rotations and weekend rotations every 6-8 weeks.

Displays and incorporates UPMC values into work. Respectful, caring, listening with peers, customers, and leadership. Good oral communication skills, able to complete tasks with peer involvement and autonomously. . The goal is to provide patient centered care.

Attends compliance training and adheres to the organization standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.
High School Diploma or GED – Required
One (1) year experience – Preferred
Certified Nurse Aide -Preferred
Minimum of 75 hours of Nurse Aide training- Required.
If no previous nurse aide training, applicant may attend UPMC Home Healthcare Nurse Aide Training Course as available upon hire. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Preferred: Nurse Aide Registry in good standing either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. Required: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
