JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant – Supervisor. This individual is a member of the EECS administrative team that is responsible for providing high-level support for strategic and operational activities. This position serves as the Directors Coordinator and will supervise assigned staff and ensure staff development, directly overseeing various administrative functions for the school, including hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining for direct reports.
This position will also oversee Promotion and Tenure for EECS faculty, coordinate and manage IPAC meetings, and serve on the EECS Management and Administrative committees, attending meetings and facilitating communication and participation to accommodate interests and foster decision-making including confidential and sensitive discussions, requiring follow-up.

Primarily this position will maintain the Directors Calendar; manage and coordinate EECS Committees, arrange logistics for committee meetings and appointments, writing and distribute minutes and backup materials.
Coordinate administrative calendars and activities.
Create, proof, and edit correspondence for the Director including presentations, proposals, reports, and summaries.
Review and check documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with applicable guidelines/regulations and procedural requirements.
Track deadlines and outstanding materials/potential problems. All this while maintaining highly confidential information.
Minimum requirements for this position include an Associates Degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team-oriented environment are essential.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$46,400.00 – $67,300.00
