JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking candidates for an Engagement Annual Leadership Gifts (ALG) Officer position.
Reporting to the Manager of the Annual Leadership Gifts Program, the Engagement ALG Officers work to provide personalized engagement and giving opportunities for select donor prospect groups by utilizing digital engagement strategies to build relationships, secure philanthropic support, and assist in connecting interested alumni and friends with opportunities for annual leadership, major and planned, and future gifts to Penn State.
Typical Duties
Prepare correspondence in a professional and timely manner to solicit and steward donors.
Manage a portfolio of 700 to 1,000 donor prospects.
Updated donor prospect records on a rolling basis to include priority donors with annual or recent giving histories.
Establish contact strategies and cadence for regular activities as well as provide special project support for Penn State philanthropic priorities such as THON, One Big Week, Intercollegiate Athletics and Giving Tuesday.
Effectively communicate the mission of The Pennsylvania State University and promote a comprehensive understanding of the philanthropic priorities of the University
Work in coordination with the Manager of Annual Leadership Gifts to create annual solicitation goals and metrics to ensure effective and inclusive solicitation strategies, including coordinating efforts with the Office of Annual Giving
Location
The primary location for the role is State College, PA. at the University Park campus.
The Division of Development and Alumni Relations is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Qualifications
This position minimally requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher plus one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Its preferred that the successful candidate have:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
Proven track record meeting objectives in a high-paced, goal-oriented, and action-driven environments.
General familiar with utilizing technology for communication, engagement, and donor stewardship, including platforms like LinkedIn, ThankView, DonorDrive, RNL Engage, Zoom or similar.
Experience working in higher education or a similarly complex and dispersed environment is a plus.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$51,000.00 – $74,000.00
