GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Under direction, the purpose of the position is to monitor and enforce all court ordered support obligations within Clearfield County. Employees in this classification perform professional work. Position is responsible for enforcing the provisions contained in support orders through interviews, locate efforts, collection of information, preparing correspondence, scheduling hearings and requesting bench warrants. Arrests individuals wanted by the Court. Performs related work as directed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.
Resolves issues of support via interviews, research and hearings. Responds to inquiries of clients, financial institutions, attorneys and judges.
Monitors and prioritizes caseload. Request eligible cases to be scheduled for enforcement court or bench warrants.
Performs all locate functions as necessary to insure court ordered compliance by clients.
Issues income withholding orders to comply with court orders.
Prepares contempt hearing documents and summary reports. Participates in contempt hearings. Offers recommendations to court regarding sentencing.
Assists in transporting prisoners to and from court hearings.
Apprehends and arrests individuals as directed and authorized by the Court. Transports to local jail.
Properly serve individuals with necessary paperwork to establish and/or enforce court order.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, or closely related field

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to attend and obtain Basic Certification in Oleoresin Capsicum training, Taser certification training, attend and pass Act 235 Lethal Weapons Training. Complete new hire training as established by BCSE and PACSETI. Complete and pass JNET training.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate and control general office equipment.
Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to calculate decimals and percentages; may require ability to utilize principles of fractions and/or interpret graphs.
Functional Reasoning: Requires ability to apply principles of rational systems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. Ability to exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives.
Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity required in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria, as opposed to that which is clearly measurable or verifiable.
Physical Ability: In office tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Field work tasks may involve running, jumping, standing long periods of time and hand to hand combat.
