Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor supports the Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing the maintenance of on-hand inventory, RTV (Return to Vendor), RTS (Return to Stock), and cycle counting processes. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, ensuring materials are properly stocked and providing internal material support to the kitting team. The assistant supervisor enforces warehouse procedures, manages daily attendance, assigns staff, and ensures that all warehouse tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This position works on a Thursday-Sunday rotating continental shift from 6 AM to 6 PM, with Thursday as the swing day. Training will take place on a standard Monday-Friday 8-hour shift before transitioning to the rotating shift after training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Task Management:
Attendance & Position Placement: Take daily attendance and manage the assignment of warehouse staff based on operational needs and individual competencies.
Task Delegation: Assign daily tasks such as cycle counts, material stocking, RTV, and RTS processing to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Process Enforcement: Ensure that all warehouse procedures, including RTV/RTS processes and inventory management, are followed and documented accurately.
Team Training: Provide ongoing training and support to team members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Team Culture: Assist in fostering a collaborative and positive work culture where employees are motivated, and operations are efficient.
Operational Support:
Inventory Control: Assist in ensuring that inventory levels are accurately maintained, and discrepancies are quickly identified and resolved.
Cycle Counting: Oversee regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and assist in reconciling any discrepancies.
Material Support for Kitting: Provide internal material support to the kitting team, ensuring that all necessary materials are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
RTV/RTS Processing: Assist in overseeing the processing of returns to vendor and returns to stock, ensuring all documentation and materials are handled efficiently.
Safety & Compliance:
Safety Standards: Enforce warehouse safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to the companys inventory management policies and security protocols.
Job Qualifications:
Skills & Knowledge:
Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in logistics, inventory management, or related fields is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics, with experience in tech manufacturing being advantageous.
