We are looking for a Staff Accountant interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Finance team at PIM’s Headquarters in Park Ridge, NJ. This position supports the accounting of PIM and reports directly to our Assistant Controller. This Accountant will assist in the day to day as well as the month end activities of the department. They will utilize prior accounting knowledge and experience to enhance current business
Job Description
Execute month-end closing responsibilities for all assigned entities and/or accounts on a timely basis
Prepare and record journal entries
Perform detailed analytics to identify anomalies and discrepancies, and evaluate trends
Reconcile accounts and gather/create supporting documentation to validate account balances
Coordinate documentation support and correspondence for external audits
Create SOPs to document new and existing processes, recommending and implementing change as needed
Perform special projects and reporting as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
2 years of General Ledger Accounting experience
Experience working in an inventory-based, trading or manufacturing business required; CPG experience preferred
Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency with MS Office (Specifically Excel) and experience with accounting software
Ability to communicate with different levels of the organization
Excellent attention to detail
Aptitude and desire to think outside the box and implement change
Proven experience to work with minimum supervision

The role requires working on-site: Monday thru Friday
