We primarily service Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, with a landfill located in Ohio, where we also own and operate a state-of-the-art rail-served landfill. Job Highlights
Thepositionwill play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day operations. This role will primarily focus on data sets, systems, and ensuring data integrity. They will need to work with other departments in the company to ensure data accuracy, maintain reports and manage ongoing projects from a data perspective. The ideal candidate will havestrong verbal and written communication skills, intermediate computer skills, problem solving skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to multi-task duties. Being detail oriented and understanding the data used will be crucial to a successful candidate.
Perform a wide variety of record keeping and file management duties. Provide support for safety analysis and implementation projects. Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship with the offices day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
Collect, review, interpret, and enter data into appropriate systems in a timely manner compliant with the program.
Ensure data integrity through data management practices.
Administrative duties including data entry, filing, typing, mailing, phone communication, etc.
Format datasets to create standardized reports and conduct necessary outreach where it is needed. Using different technology and software to improve reporting throughout the business.
Assist with meeting planning, scheduling, and logistics.
Solid understanding of data procedures and databases.
Excellent analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Strong administrative, organizational, and time management abilities.
Willingness and ability to learn new programs.
Ability to work independently on data entry, import files, and data projects.
Safety compliance with maintenance of documentation and records.
Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.
Prepare and submit required safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.
Performance of other duties and responsibilities as required.
Work Environment
Shift time: roughly 8AM – 5:30PM
5 days a week Monday through Friday
This role will be based at a depot location within the Central New Jersey market
The position requires mainly sitting and typing throughout the day; travel to other locations may be required
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience as Administrative Assistant, or previous experience in a role with heavy reporting.
Fluency in English required, Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred.
Must haveintermediatecomputer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;Power BI is a plus.
Detail oriented.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
