Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing daily support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our NAV 2016 ERP system, Salesforce CRM, and Boomi Integration platform, ensuring seamless operations across all business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide application support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016, Salesforce & Boomi. Including resolving technical issues, diagnosing software errors, and offering guidance on system functionality.
- User Support: Assist end-users in navigating the system, offering training and documentation as necessary to ensure effective use of systems
- Issue Management: Monitor and respond to application issues raised through the helpdesk system, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business disruption.
- Collaboration with Developers: Work closely with the NAV development team to communicate and troubleshoot bugs, customizations, and system enhancements.
- Reporting & Data Management: Assist with NAV-related reporting tasks, data integrity checks, and creating customized reports using built-in tools or other integrated software (e.g., Jet Reports, Power BI).
- Integration Support: Provide support for integration with other systems, such as third-party applications, APIs, and custom solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and user manuals related to NAV 2016 system functionality and troubleshooting guides.
- User Access & Security: Manage user roles and permissions within all business applications and directory services (Active Director and Entra) , ensuring adherence to company security policies.
- Change Management: Coordinate and test system changes or new features before deployment to ensure functionality and user acceptance.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 or similar ERP systems.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Dynamics NAV 2016 modules, including financials, inventory, sales, and purchasing.
- Proficiency with NAV reporting tools such as Jet Reports or Power BI.
- Understanding of NAV integration with third-party applications.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system-related issues quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical users.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaboration: Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT, development teams, and other departments.
- Ability to be on call after-hours and weekends for support for system maintenance and issue resolution.
- Available for on-call support during afterhours and weekends to assist with system maintenance and issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the rental or furniture industry (or a similar field).
- Experience with NAV system upgrades or transitioning to newer ERP systems.
- Experience in providing training to end-users and creating user manuals or help guides.
