SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director Finance, Hydrogen Infrastructure Business Unit – manage the day-to-day general accounting activities and assisting with the reporting matters for Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. including the consolidation, reporting systems, accounting policies/processes/ controls, and procedures. Hands on Accounting Manager, who can roll up their sleeves and help increase department accuracy, efficiency and play a role in structuring the finance and accounting function of a Hydrogen Infrastructure Business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Partner with Business Operations leaders to support with invoicing activities, project creation in SAP, Purchase Order/Requisition issuances and good receipts.

· Support business’s Budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities.

· Liaison between the Business and Controllership team for new cost center creation, GL accounts creation, Chart of Accounts usage and accounting guidelines creation for the business. Maintenance and governance of the Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers and Cost Centers.

· As business matures, work with Corporate Tax team for proper accounting of tax credits.

· Leverage existing Mitsubishi Power Americas systems to support and implement Limits of Authority for the Hydrogen business.

· Administer and oversight of the annual budget and analysis to the actual results.

· Assist with the preparation and review of the month end reporting packages and analysis to both external and internal customers.

· Journal entry preparation and review of payroll allocations, accruals, prepaids, reclasses, recurring J/Es, ad-hoc, etc.

· Assist with requests from the Parent Company, external auditors and management.

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

· Serve as a Project Manager when necessary for special projects. Duties would include the preparation of timelines, project plans, work level efforts, status updates, and setting up meetings with key stakeholders.

· Support the new Business structuring in SAP including being the liaison between the business and SAP implementation team and work on transitioning financial statements post implementation.

· Subject matter expert for SAP.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.

· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

· Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.

· Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.

· Perform other such duties as may be required by management.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

· Large company experience in manufacturing, renewable energy development and/or Public Accounting experience preferred

· Accounting/Bachelors degree from four-year College or university.

· At least five (5) years finance & accounting experience.

· Consolidation and Inter-Company experience.

· Proficient in use of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

· Detail and process oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines.
