Registered Pharmacy Technician

Department: Call-center Pharmacy Team
Overview: We are currently seeking Registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our call-center team. In this role, you will handle a high volume of both inbound and outbound calls, managing prescriptions from initiation until they move to the fulfillment department. You will work across all queues and receive cross-training to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Your tasks will include intake, data entry, phone support, refilling prescriptions, manual resolutions, clarifying prescriptions, and managing transfers from other retail stores. Expect to handle 50-60 calls per shift if assigned to phone duty, touching all parts of the front-end pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
Handle a high volume of inbound phone calls.
Provide support with the receipt, review, and verification of patient prescriptions.
Prep and scan documents, verify patient data, and enter prescription orders into our pharmacy data system.
Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy teams to ensure patient and provider needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Requirements:
Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida.
Preferred: Nationally Certified – PTCB or NHA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with pharmacy processing systems.
Familiarity with prescription terminology.
Strong computer and typing skills.
Work Environment:
Professional, in-office environment.
Shifts are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm.
The pharmacy operates Monday-Saturday, 8am-9pm, with shorter shifts on Saturdays and overnight shifts available.
Training lasts 2-3 weeks, with mandatory attendance from 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm. Some accommodations may be possible after training.
