JOB SUMMARY:

Lead a team of skilled Building Trades team members while managing the maintenance activities and budgets required for the upkeep and repair of the resort’s building facades and underlying structures. Will also partner closely with external and internal partners to develop a strategic, long-term plan for the maintenance of the resort’s buildings. Support initiatives to continuously improve guest and employee safety.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with internal and external partners to evaluate façade conditions and develop plan through consultation with internal partners as needed.

Develops scope of work for internal team and schedules and executes said work

Develops scope for external vendor work in consultation with internal partners, evaluates competitive bids, awards contracts, and executes/project manages work.

Develops and communicates planned work throughout the resort. Ensures plan meets budget goals.

Coordinates with impacted stakeholders to ensure work is conducted with as minimal an impact to operations as is feasible.

Conducts QA of final work prior to vendor payment and develops punch list of work required. Determines when work has been satisfactorily completed.

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Associate degree in a technical field preferred

EXPERIENCE:

7 years of experience in construction across the Building Trades including experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings as well as experience in carpentry, painting, masonry, exterior-finishing systems such stucco or brick veneer

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
