THE WORK

As an Analyst specializing in material cost estimates for TLS capture activities, your role will involve compiling material costs in response to request for proposal (RFP) requirements. You’ll work with supplier quotes, price agreements, price histories, and engineering estimates, applying analytical techniques to adjust for quantity and timing differences. In this position, you will estimate commodity purchases and solicit quotations from the industry for hardware costs in upcoming proposals. Your work will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams including operations, program management, engineering, finance, and sourcing to ensure ground rules are understood and followed. Additionally, you will participate in management reviews, customer fact-finding sessions, and government audits to support the basis of estimates.

You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of material cost estimation. You have experience with cost proposals, price history analysis, and supplier quotes, and youre skilled at collaborating with various functional teams. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are capable of supporting complex government and customer audits. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly makes you an asset to management reviews and customer discussions.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with estimating techniques (material).

Understanding of bill of material structures. Knowledge of the proposal process.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Analytical ability.

Desired Skills:

Basic LMP2P experience a plus. Sourcing, Finance or Operations knowledge or background. Knowledge of MS2 estimating and pricing policies.

FAR/DFAR experience

Bachelors degree with at least one year of relevant experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
