Job Overview:
As a Human Resources Manager,you’llbe responsible forall aspects of the function, including the design,implementationandexecution of the human resources strategy to support the business andpeoplegoals. This position spans a broad range of responsibilities in many areas, including cross-functional team leadership and counsel to the senior executive team, organizational development, leadership development, training, full-service recruitment, associate relations, performance management, payroll, compensation, benefits, and organizational leadership.
Your Responsibilities:
Recruiting and retention of a high performing culture
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent
Directly and indirectly manage the hiring process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, andselection
Manage onboarding and orientation for new associates
Analyze causes of turnover and suggest approaches to drive improvements in associate retention
Performance management and associate relations
Lead the performance management process in area of responsibility
Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
Partner with supervisors and local HR to coach associates to maximize performance
Implement improvement plans and manage promotions, terminations, and disciplinary actions
Act as a senior advisor to managers on employment issues, promotions, performance issues and terminations
Responsible for ethics hotline communication and incident investigations
Company culture
Produce communications to convey, enhance andmodifycompany culture to support company goals and drive associate satisfaction
Support a process of organizational development that plans,communicatesand cascades the results of strategic planning throughout the organization
Recommend organizational structure and staffing levels toaccomplishcompany goals andobjectives
Initiate change management
HR strategy and planning
Collaborate with executive leadership and HR leaders to align strategies
Analyze HR metrics and develop workforce strategies to improve retention and engagement
Provide insights into organizational development and recommend process improvements
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and metrics
Effectivelyleveragetechnology to streamline and enhance HR operations
Providetimelyandaccuratereporting to stakeholders to guide decision-making
Audit data to ensure consistency with policies and procedures
Compliance with regulatory and legal matters
Ensure the company’s HR policiescomply withlabor laws and regulations
Update and communicate HR policies, procedures, and associate handbook
Conduct internal audits and stay current on legal updates and HR trends
Direct preparation of information or investigationsrequiredfor compliance. Serve as contact with employment attorney and outside government agencies
Identifieslegal and compliance issues related to HR and manages the company’s risk and exposure
National projects
Work as a leader and liaison with regional and national FirstService Residential on initiatives to enhance the company culture and the experience of the associates
Collaborate with HR teams to ensure alignment and consistency of HR policies and practices across regions
Share best practices and harmonize approaches to workforce management globally
Change management:
Lead HR-related change initiatives within the organization, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption
Collaborate with leadership to communicate changes clearly and effectively to associates
Provide guidance and support to staff during organizational changes, including restructures or policy shifts
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degreerequired, (Master’sdegree is a plus) in Human Resources or a related field
7 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
Specialized and current training in employment law, compensation, training, organizational planning, organizational development, associate relations, and workers comp/safety, inclusive of PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Active affiliation with Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.
An experienced leader and human resource professional with strong change management skills
