Description:

This is a full-time position on evening shift, M-F, 11pm to 7:30am and call as needed.

Our healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician in the healthcare industry, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your expertise in HVAC systems will ensure the efficient operation of our facility, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of all stakeholders.

What you will do :

1. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment malfunctions, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and interruptions.

3. Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and lubricating moving parts, to ensure optimal system performance.

4. Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute HVAC system upgrades, replacements, and installations while minimizing disruption to daily operations.

5. Monitor and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, repairs, and replacement parts inventory.

6. Respond to emergency service calls promptly and efficiently, prioritizing critical situations that may impact patient care or safety.

7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and environmental standards when performing HVAC maintenance and repairs.

8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in HVAC technology, attending relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC training or apprenticeship program is preferred.

2. Valid HVAC technician license or certification (where applicable).

3. Proven experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.

4. Strong understanding of HVAC principles, components, and system design.

5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

6. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

7. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, staff, and external contractors.

9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

10. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
