Job Description Summary

This executive role will be a key leader on the Digital Supply Chain (DSC) leadership team, and will lead a team of approximately 40 digital technology professionals to develop and execute a technology strategy that unlocks the potential of the Supply Chain for GE Aerospace. This role will report functionally to the Supply Chain CIO role with the Digital Technology function and operationally to the VP Sourcing for the Supply Chain Division.

Job Description

In this role, the successful candidate will:

Developing a technology strategy that supports supply chains goals to improve collaboration with our vast supplier network securing more consistent material input performance.

Execute on this strategy with close collaboration of key initiatives such as engines modernization and our enterprise technology strategies for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Quality Management System (QMS).

Partnering across all Supply Chain Sourcing functional leaders and DSC teams to ensure efforts are prioritized and value is maximized to enable the global supply chain to deliver for GE Aerospace customers

Working closely with Digital Technology shared services to deliver solutions & outcomes on behalf of the Digital Supply Chain

Creating clear plans & commitments for the delivery of technology solutions

Recruiting, developing and retaining technical talent to create a world-class digital technology team of 100 employees and contractors

Being a practitioner of Lean, and coaching the organization on FLIGHT DECK culture, tools, behaviors, and operating models

Acting as a key executive leader of the GE Aerospace Digital Technology leadership team, advocating for the advancement of the DT function

Balancing the financial & operational commitments of the organization

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or business-related degree program

Minimum 15 years relevant leadership experience in large scale program and project management.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Technical Program Management

Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a People Leader

Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated effective strategy development and execution. Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans.

Technical background to solve complex technical problems, design solutions, make technical trade-off decisions, and work closely with teams to drive implementation.

Experience leading and influencing across a complex, global matrix organization. Demonstrated ability to manage both people leaders and senior individual contributors.

Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from stakeholders.

Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies related to job responsibilities demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities.

Demonstrated understanding of Lean principles and implementing standard work. Uses critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions.

Ability to establish operational performance metrics and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements for systems, processes, and resources.

Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined.

Experience of coaching, mentoring, and developing team members and providing feedback on performance toward goals.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with all constituents including business functions, CxO’s and broader senior leadership with confidence and clarity.

Demonstrated financial responsibility and accountability.

Demonstrated customer focus –evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint.

Self-motivated, self-directed, flexible, and able to work under pressure and in fast paced team environment.
