Job Description Summary
The Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer, Production role within the Sustaining Engineering team will work on Power generation products for both the Military and Commercial programs. You will work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Testing, and Quality engineers to ensure the production and delivery of high quality power generation products to our aviation customers. You truly will be part of the team that “Invents the future of Flight”.
This position will work closely with the manufacturing, quality, and final testing teams on the production floor. Onsite work is required daily at the Vandalia, OH facility.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for power electronics design and engineering; designing, developing, modifying, evaluating or troubleshooting electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
Determines design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests & evaluate results.
Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC etc.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide engineering / technical support in a production environment
Familiar with Engineering Change (EC), Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA), Cost Analysis, etc.
Provides informal guidance to new team members
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or related field from an accredited university or college
Plus, a minimum of 15 years of experience in an engineering position
Desired Characteristics
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology or related field from an accredited university or college
Experience with Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC etc.
Familiar with the essential principles of electrical circuits and power electronics
Familiar with the essential principles of magnetics and transformers
Familiar with circuit design tools such as LTSpice and Altium Designer
Experience designing, manufacturing, or troubleshooting electrical circuits
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Strong project ownership, execution, and proactive mentalities.
