Chemical Manufacturing TechnicianJob Description:
Operate process equipment and utilities.
Use the Allen-Bradley Control System to control process operations.
Perform chemical reactions on a gram to multi-kilogram scale.
Solve common synthetic problems.
Understand and interpret analytical data.
Manage and track project progress including monitoring timelines, raw materials, equipment availability, and yields to ensure project success.
Prepare production areas for cGMP project initiation or changeover.
Produce clear documentation of all results and procedures.
Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
Use the work order system to request maintenance and/or improvement work.
Operate reactor systems within various production units. This includes knowledge of all ancillary equipment such as storage tanks, waste tanks, heating/cooling units, vacuum units, and scrubber systems.
Use the PLC Control System for the operation of the unit, recognize and respond to alarms or emergency situations.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Chemistry or related field with 2-4 years of experience in an API GMP manufacturing facility, OR
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years of experience in an API GMP manufacturing facility OR
3-5 years experience with chemical operating
