Job Title: Chemical Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

Operate process equipment and utilities using the Allen-Bradley Control System to control process operations. Perform chemical reactions on a gram to multi-kilogram scale and solve common synthetic problems. Understand and interpret analytical data while managing and tracking project progress, including monitoring timelines, raw materials, equipment availability, and yields to ensure project success. Prepare production areas for cGMP project initiation or changeover, and produce clear documentation of all results and procedures. Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, use the work order system to request maintenance or improvement work, and operate reactor systems within various production units. This includes knowledge of all ancillary equipment such as storage tanks, waste tanks, heating/cooling units, vacuum units, and scrubber systems. Utilize the PLC Control System for unit operation, recognize and respond to alarms or emergency situations, and use the inventory system to properly document inventory transfers and usages. Qualifications

Associates Degree in Chemistry or related field with 2-4 years of experience in an API GMP manufacturing facility, OR

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years of experience in an API GMP manufacturing facility OR

High School Diploma and 3-5 years experience with chemical operating

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Germantown, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing facility. The position follows a 2-2-3 schedule from 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with consideration for candidates with the required skill set for day shift rotation. Initial training will likely occur on the day shift rotation for 1-3 months, with a transition to the third shift.
