Up to $31/hr DOE – Chanhassen, 1st Shift
Job Description
This position includes testing of PCB’s and repair, utilizing schematics, electronics theory and test equipment. This position works to troubleshoot boards that did not pass the initial test. From time to time, due to workload, this position may help test new products as well.
Ideal candidates are people who like problem-solving, working independently for most of the day, and appreciate working on high-tech devices!
90% of time (Troubleshoot and Repair PCB):
– Perform hand soldering on surface mount and through-hole assemblies.
– Troubleshoot and repair PCB’s down to the component level.
– Use schematic analysis cabinet with standard electronic test techniques to perform failure analysis and root cause determination.
– Work closely with Engineering and Quality departments on internal troubleshooting as needed.
10% of time (First pass and Final product testing):
– Assembly and/or installation of various mechanical or electronic components and sub-assemblies where operations and sequence are specified by blueprints, schematics, wire cards, diagrams or previous assembly shop practice.
– Obtain parts and material per job part lists.
– Follow all quality procedures and record data.
– Follow established procedures in assembly operations. Work performed may involve training for more advanced assembly jobs.
– Perform functional or parametric testing of electronic circuit boards or assemblies.
– Utilize approved processes, test, and configuration equipment to finish the product.
Qualifications
2-3 years of previous experience as a PCB repair technician
Soldering: 1 year (Required)
Component level circuit analysis & repair: 2 years (Required)
Experience in component-level electronics debug and repair
Component-level circuit analysis and fault diagnosis skills
Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent education/experience
Ability to operate standard types of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVM’s, power supplies, functional generators, hipot testers, etc
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Chanhassen, Minnesota
New building, very clean working environment, well-lit, temperature controlled, very spacious
Shift
1st Shift – 8 hour shifts
Can start at either 6am or 8am. 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm
