The Capability Manager is responsible for initiating and leading various digital process capabilities for Marketing. The role encompasses management of a wide range of workflow projects including consulting, development, training, change management and implementation across a variety of digital capabilities and platforms. This role will pilot, rollout and administer a new planning functionality being enabled in Adobe Workfront across all corporate marketing functions. This role will optimize use of the new functionality along with digital workflows, process improvements and drive the evolution of best practices for strategic campaign planning across all Optum Marketing teams. Optum is a time of ever evolving change, we have several enterprise-wide change initiatives started. This role will evolve as these initiatives evolve. The right candidate will embrace changes and further evolution. This role sits within the Marketing Customer Operations department as a member of the Workfront Administration team.
If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leading enterprise end-to-end programs while engaging with CMOs for specific capability platforms within marketing. Including, but not limited to the use of campaign planning systems such as Workfront Planning and Airtable, marketing productivity tools, workflow technologies, creative support technologies and other elements of a marketing technology stack
Lead various significant marketing activities with technical savvy and marketing best practice experience, including major process initiatives and new integrations with different technology applications with a goal of driving process improvements
Provide leadership support across Corporate Marketing and Communications to ensure best practice use of marketing technology tools and capabilities, with a drive to improve automation, reduce inefficiency and enable exceptional change management
Lead and promote a process of continuous improvement across Marketing to ensure our programmatic spend – our use of internal and external capabilities – continues to mature and become more efficient including research into using new or existing technologies

Required Qualifications:
5 years of working experience in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field
4 years of experience working with marketers or marketing stakeholders to execute change management and process improvements including communication and remediation plans with exceptional project management skills
4 years of recent experience with administration, development, or management of a workflow platform including Agile approaches to project work. (Preference given to experience with Workfront)
3 years of technology background with an ability to quickly assimilate, understand and communicate strategic workflow process factors to a marketing audience, or appropriate corporate audience
3 years of experience working in or with a corporate marketing function (preferably with a marketing technology, CRM or other “MarTech” – related role)
Proficiency with MS Office (Including Work, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Proven effective communication skills, training acumen, and an ability to lead cross functional teams
Proven solid organizational skills and excellent relationship building skills across technology and marketing organizations
Commitment to a hybrid schedule that includes 3 days in office in Eden Prairie each week
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or another project management certification
Experience with ServiceNow or other help desk ticketing software
Knowledge of Client-Server Technologies, Web Development and Network Operating Systems, Network architecture, Cloud and Internet Technologies
Thorough understanding of marketing process/workflow including leading executive level initiatives
Expertise in an administration, development, or management role with one or more of the following: Workfront, Opal, Airtable, Adobe Experience Manager, Domo, Eloqua, DOMO, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo, Sprinklr, Sysomos, Trendkite or BrandWatch
SME in at least one area of marketing technology, such as workflow process, campaign planning, e-mail marketing, content management, social media marketing or digital media
