Client Intake and Insurance Vertification Specialist

Job Description

Granite City Counseling, a program of Catholic Charities, is looking for a Client Intake and Insurance Verification Specialist to join it’s team! This individual is often the first point of contact for our new clients. Responsibilities include intake interviews of potential counseling clients, medical verification and authorization, initial scheduling with appropriate therapist, entering data, establishing payment types, and maintaining client records. Also responsible for various tasks relative to the clinic business operations include insurance collection, insurance denial processing, self-pay collection and backup for clinic reception.

We are offering a $500 sign on bonus for this position!

Skills that would be beneficial for this position include (but are not limited to): medical insurance verification and authorization, client access, client intake, customer service and phone etiquette, patient scheduling, medical insurance collection and coordination.

Job Requirements:

Education: Two (2) years post-high school required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education in medical administration or medical billing a plus.

Job Related Experience: Two (2) years experience in medical administration. Previous experience in insurance processing, intake, customer service or health care preferred.
